As a member of the Clergy in the Old Catholic Apostolic Church, my ministry with children and young people aged 4 to 18 is rooted in a deep commitment to pastoral care and community support. For me, this work is not only about faith, but about creating a safe, nurturing space where young people can grow in confidence, compassion, and purpose.
Pastoral support is at the heart of what I do. I recognise that every child and young person is on their own journey — socially, emotionally, and spiritually — and they need trusted adults who will listen, guide, and encourage them. Whether it’s through one-to-one conversations, group activities, or simply being a consistent, reassuring presence, I aim to walk alongside them with care and understanding.
My ministry reaches beyond the church itself. I engage with local community groups, schools and families to be a visible, supportive figure in the lives of young people. By building supportive relationships, I help them navigate the ups and downs of growing up, offering encouragement, mentoring, and a strong sense of belonging.
While my work is grounded in the mission of the Church and the service of God, I express it in practical, inclusive ways that resonate with everyone — regardless of background or belief. I try to reflect God’s love through acts of kindness, listening without judgement, and helping young people discover their own strengths and values.
This is a ministry of service, support, and hope. It’s about planting seeds of faith, yes, but also of resilience, respect, and responsibility. Through compassionate care and everyday presence, I help young people become not only future leaders, but confident, caring contributors to their communities — and in doing so, I honour my calling to serve both God and my neighbours.
